Truffle was established in 2019 by Amanda Fudge. After searching for her own upholstered headboard soon realised that unless you wanted an off-the-shelf item in a boring shape with an average fabric then the only other option is your local upholsterer which is fine but you’d probably have to sacrifice your summer holiday!
We believe that we are one of only a few studios offering the highest quality bespoke handmade headboards and soft furnishings at prices that most can afford.
Truffle has moved from being a part time hobby working around a full time day job in a cabin at the bottom of Amanda’s garden to a new studio creating headboards, valances (bed skirts) cushions and soon to come lampshades. We offer 12 different headboard designs across 5 sizes. 3 valance styles.
We work with the well-known design houses as well as niche fabric makers and can advise on fabric suitability and edging detail. An upholstered headboard (and valance) will transform a tired looking bed and, in doing so, completely transform a bedroom. Why wouldn’t you?
After all, it’s a place where we spend a third of our lives!
